M'Pai Bai Precious Plastic Project
Donation protected
M'Pai Bay Village is a beautiful community on the island of Koh Rong Sanloem in Cambodia. Unfortunately, it has a lot of rubbish and litter on the streets and beach. One big reason for this is there's no education, incentive, or infrastructure for recycling plastic. Aluminum cans are collected regularly because they can be traded for money, but the same is not true for plastic. Save Cambodian Marine Life, an NGO on the ground in Koh Rong Sanloem, is spearheading an effort to outfit the village with a plastic recycling plant to improve the waste management practices of the community.
We plan to use the open source plastic recycling machines developed by Precious Plastic https://preciousplastic.com/en/machines.html.
