Plant Seeds for the Resilience Hub's Future

$7,365 of $15,000 goal

Raised by 45 people in 5 months
Created December 18, 2018
The Resilience Hub is growing! We would not be what we are today without all of you. We are at a critical moment right now and we need your help. Our goal is to raise $15,000 in order to move forward with our work for 2019.

Join the Resilience Hub in 2019 for:
A monthly Permablitz from May to October
A Permaculture Design Course at MOFGA starting in May
Multiple educational events and workshops every month
A NEW Quarterly Newsletter
Discussion groups, movie nights, and more

We are a grassroots community organization and your contributions make this work possible.

Consider some of our actual costs:
One month of rental space for Resilience Hub events: $600
Underwriting for a PDC Solidarity Scholarship: $1200
Permablitz event: $1500

Since 2005, thousands of people have learned together about permaculture, food systems, and the possibility of new economic models through the Resilience Hub’s programs. We have worked hard to make that education accessible: through solidarity pricing , free hands-on permablitzes, mutual aid, and donation-based events. We are deeply committed to these values, and to expanding these offerings in 2019.

Thank you for your continued support!

We have some very exciting news to share with our great community of supporters:
The Resilience Hub was awarded the Portland Press Herald's 2019 Source Award as "The Cultivator". This award would not have been possible without a great community of people that come together and share in the joy of our permaculture work. Thank you all for your continued support!

EXCITING UPDATE! The Hub received $5,000 today from an extremely generous anonymous donor. We are beyond touched. Thanks to this major donation, we're almost halfway to meeting our goal. We still have a couple of weeks left to get to $15,000; if you haven't already done so, please share this campaign widely with friends and family.

And mark your calendars! To close out the fundraiser and ring in this new phase of the Resilience Hub, we'll be celebrating with food and drink on Thursday January 17 at 6pm. More details here:

As a THANK YOU for your support, here's a rare opportunity to own your own searchable, unabridged digital version of the classic book on home and community design.

If you havent' read "A Pattern Language," it's hard to synopsize briefly. The book (long since out of print) is so wide-ranging in its topic matter (how should cities and social groups be organized for happiness?), yet so precision oriented in its details (why do mullioned windows serve the human eye better than wide expanses of glass?) that you really simply have to read it to understand why it stands apart.

If you're already a fan, you may not yet own a personal copy, and wish you did. Let's correct that right now. This copyright free version of the book is yours to keep.
