Hello! This year, Martin Elementary’s Destination Imagination team of five 3rd graders (three of whom have never competed in DI before) competed in the East Texas regional competition against 30+ other schools (both public and private) across the East Texas region.
Our children’s amazing Destination Imagination team, Pirate Squad, is so excited to announce that we won FIRST PLACE and will be the FIRST EVER elementary team from Crandall to advance to the state competition, which is in Corpus Christi on March 23rd and 24th!
We are seeking donations to help our team offset costs for our state competition.
Destination Imagination, Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to teaching students through project-based learning programs that blend science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with the arts and social education.
Though the school district does sponsor our registration for this event, it is up to our team to pay for hotels, travel, and meals. We are absolutely thrilled to advance to state, but we really need your help.
Your donation will bring us closer to our goal of $2,500 which would cover these costs for each student, in full.
