Buttercup's Surgery Fund

Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is Mitchell Hunt and I am a brother of Pi Lambda Phi fraternity at Temple University. As many people know my fraternity, PiLam, has a puppy named Buttercup who is less than a year old.

Buttercup has become family at PiLam ever since her owner, Brother John Carberry, adopted her at the beginning of the fall semester. Everyone who has come to PiLam has either heard about or was lucky enough to meet Buttercup; there are many others who simply know Buttercup from seeing her walking around campus. She makes everyone's day with her wagging tail and love for new people.

Sadly, Buttercup has run into medical issues recently. After multiple trips to the emergency room and a few trips to the vet they determined that Buttercup needs surgery.  If Buttercup goes without the surgery, she will have to endure years of constant bladder infections, UTIs and other intestinal issues. We are told that the surgery to help Buttercup will be somewhere between $2500-4000.

Any donations that are given will go toward  covering Buttercup's medical expenses. If we are lucky enough to receive more than the goal amount, the rest of the money will be donated to Pi Lambda Phi's national philanthropy, the Ian Mentzer Fund.

Our hope is to raise this money as soon as we possibly can to help Buttercup, so we feel that if we can raise the money before the end of the semester, this campaign is a success. I know hoping to raise $4000 in such a short period of time is an incredibly optimistic goal but I believe Buttercup has made so many friends here at PiLam and in the Temple community.

Buttercup has become a beloved house pet to over 40 brothers and we all really want to see her get back to her normal self. She is an amazing dog so if you would like to donate to her cause, we would all be very grateful for your help.

Thank you to all who took the time to read about Buttercup's story. We are especially thankful to all who wish to help out with the cause.
