Pier's Australian Outback Dream
Donation protected
Hey!
My name is Pier and I have recently been selected to represent my country Australia in the FIRST EVER Australian Womens National Gridiron Team. Its HISTORY making not only in Australia but also for ALL women in sport and I need your help to get there.
Held every 4 years, the IFAF Womens World Championships is the international Championship for women in American Football. In 2010, the first event was held in Stockholm, Sweden with 6 countries competing. The USA team took home the first gold with a second gold in 2013 at the second World Championships in Vantaa, Finland.
This year the IFAF Womens World Championships will be held in Langley Canada where Australia will field its first ever Womens National Team in the sport of American Football. The selected players will compete against countries from 5 continents – Canada, USA, United Kingdom, Mexico and Finland.
The journey started 3 years ago when I followed my brother to one of his football practices and it was history from then on. I was offically hooked on this game called Gridiron (American Football). Ive since represented my club, state of NSW and will now also represent my country Australia in the next World Championships.
Unfortunately, Womens Gridiron in Australia is not fully sponsored and as players we must absorb the costs. The reality of representing the green and gold can be somewhat diminished because of these financial stresses. And that’s why I need your help in donations (big or small) to help make my dream come true.
Every donation made will be helping me get closer to the World Championships in Canada.
No donation will go unappreciated!
Thanks so much and I really appreciate your support!
