This campaign is to help support my efforts to be one of the best pickleball players in North America. There are two major tournaments over the next few months: the 2015 US National Pickleball Championships in Casa Grande, AZ and the 2016 US Open Pickleball Championships in Naples, Florida .

After a strong showing at the 2015 Eastern Canadian Nationals -- 4th place, 2nd highest Canadian -- I believe that I can compete with the best players on the continent. In fact, I've been encouraged to attend these
two tournaments by pickleball legends Brian Staub and Rob Elliot. They believe I can make an impression on the international scene and I do too.

Attending these tournaments requires a lot of commitment: training, air travel, ground transportation, lodging (although this has been helped by an incredibly generous couple in Arizona) and taking time away from my work as an elementary schoolteacher. With a young baby

at home and and even younger new business , I simply can't afford to do it on my own. I need your help!

Money raised through this campaign will help to pay for travel costs, accommodations and other costs associated with these competitions.

It is not easy for me to ask for help. My hope is that people believe in what I'm trying to do for the sport of pickleball and that they see helping with this campaign as a way of recognizing those efforts.
