Philip Holland retired on medical. He served 4 tours overseas. 2 Iraq 1 Afghanistan 1 Mogadishu. Several TDY deployments.
His wife was in an accident being hit by an 18 wheeler resulting in their best friend being killed in her teenage years. She’s had a bunch of medical issues that require multiple doctors visits & numerous costly medications.
Philip has numerous medical issues from the military. He recently hurt his back resulting in 3 Herniated disc & 2 disc tears. His neck has 2 Herniated disc. The VA wants to do surgery on his neck going in from the front. He has 2 rotator cuff tears in his shoulders & 2 bad knees. He battles diabetes every day right along with severe PTSD, depression and anxiety.
Philip’s recent injuries resulted in him losing his employment. Him & his wife lost their home causing them to have to move into a storage building on a lot with no utilities. They were able to put a few pieces of insulation in, an electrical connection & a few plugs before their resources were exhausted. They have one air conditioner that barely cools at night. There’s no running water, no kitchen & no bathroom at all. The city is forcing them to add a new septic system done by a licensed septic system installer. They turned on their electric temporarily for 90 days. However, if the septic isn’t done by the end of the 90 days the electric will be cut off. Steven Miller who is over the utilities told them if they didn’t get it done they would be homeless.
They are both bad off medically & are financially destitute. They have no hope at this time. They are very proud people & have always worked for everything they have. They are just in a really bad situation right now.
They have 3 beautiful dogs. 2 service dogs & one house dog. They would like to stay where they are if possible. They just need some help at this time. If you find it in your heart to help them in anyway they both would be extremely grateful. Thank you & God Bless.
