Hi, we would first like to thank everyone who has taken the time to read about and support our daughter’s journey with cancer. All prayers, positive thoughts and financial support will not go without great appreciation and gratitude, as we value your time and energy. Our Story:
It has been just over a year since our now 11 year old daughter, Phenyx, was diagnosed with Mesenchymal Chondrosarcoma (cartilage cancer), located directly behind her left eye and wrapped around her 4th and 6th cranial nerves. In October of 2016, after an MRI discovered the tumor, Phenyx underwent brain surgery for a biopsy and partial tumor removal. As her parents, all we can remember is deep agony, weeping and feeling hopeless; the fear of Phenyx’s life being shortened by an unexplained fate. Our beautiful child did not deserve this, no one does. We were sent home in fear; our child just had a major brain surgery at age nine. As if that wasn’t scary enough, we waited for over a week for her diagnosis of Mesenchymal Chondrosarcoma: CANCER. We immediately began to build our cancer research team and traveled to several states to find the best treatment for this extremely rare form of cancer. After meeting with several oncologists, doctors and healing practitioners and after hours of our own personal research, we feel excited and confident about our course of treatment. We work every day around the clock learning and teaching ourselves about the wonders of our bodies and how to heal cancer from the inside out.
Prognosis:
We are over the moon excited to report that the treatments and therapeutic protocols Phenyx is undergoing ARE WORKING. WE ARE HEALING OUR GIRL! We work very hard every day at healing Phenyx’s immune system, leaky gut, detoxing her, and building a stronger girl than we started with. Her MRI’s have shown that her residual tumor has not grown and her blood work shows that her cancer markers have gone down. Yay!
New Treatments:
Our doctors and healing practitioners are ready to add new, essential protocols to Phenyx’s treatment. This is amazing because her weekly IV treatments have been very trying on her mentally and her body is ready for these changes. If we are able to purchase these treatments, they will be available to Phenyx in our home, which will alleviate a huge financial burden. These machines will pay for themselves after 3 months and it will also help reduce the amount of appointments we have in a week’s time.
Unfortunately, many of the treatment protocols and lab work we are currently doing are not covered by insurance and we are paying out of pocket. This is also the case with these new treatments and financially we are unable to purchase these items and continue with the financial demands of her current protocol and provide for the needs of our 14 year old son.
Through much generosity from our loving community and through selling our home and relocating to a different state, we have been able to keep the dream of healing Phenyx alive over the past year. Our prayer is that Phenyx will be able to continue her soul’s purpose and we can continue to heal her. Any donation amount would be greatly appreciated and would help to get us closer to beating this rare cancer.
