Peyton's Fight

Donation protected
Friends and family of Peyton Jones, I am starting this account to help the family offset travel, food and medical costs related to Peyton's illness. Peyton has been diagnosed with leukemia. This family has been through so much in the last several years and could really use help from all of us to make it through this ordeal. We are standing firm on God's healing powers! Below is the story they put on their Caring Bridge site.

Caring Bridge:  https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/peytonjones02#_=_ Today we were scheduled for an admission to the hospital after the test from the bone marrow biopsy confirmed the diagnosis. Today was mainly just getting test ran and getting admitted.

Yesterday Peyton got his picc line in for him to start chemo today. He was a champ! He's doing amazing. He proves to be so strong and has made our room a no crying zone! He's quite the character and I'm sad if you never had the opportunity to meet him or really get to know him, you'd really enjoy being around him!

Today he will undergo a spinal tap to remove some spinal fluid to test to see if the leukemia has spread to his spine or brain. While in there, he will be given a chemo treatment. He will also receive another chemo treatment this afternoon.

These last few nights have been exhausting. He has ran fever and early this morning his fever broke but he had the chills. All I could do was lay next to him in his bed trying to use my body heat to warm him up and pray. I've don't ALOT of praying and I know God has heard everyone one of them. He proves to me daily he is listening. His platelets went up from 36,000 and the doctors said it was a fluke. No sir, that is my God working miracles as we speak.

We will have a long tough road in front of us but between Peyton's determination, our strength as a family, the strength we have in our faith and the numberous amounts of family and friends, we can beat this! Peyton will not be able to attend school this year. We can not take the risk of infection. That's the thing with Leukemia, infection is where it gets people. We must have clean hands and no sickness around. We must keep him as healthy as possible. Chemo will kill every last immune fighting cell in his body.

Today is Friday the 14th day. We are scheduled for the spinal tap and first few rounds of chemo. I will update later. Please continue to pray for Peyton as we endure this journey. I have faith in healing. This leukemia has a huge success rate...80-90%! That's huge y'all! We know God creates miracles and he can heal Peyton.
