In Memory: Felipe Soto-Elianna Cruz

Donation protected
My name is Sonia Torres.  My son, Felipe "Petey" Soto was killed on impact at the hands of someone driving 100mph on a residential road in Bridgeport, CT on Father's Day, June 19th, 2016.

Petey leaves behind so many people who loved him and thoroughly enjoyed being around him.  His smile was infectious and he lit up every room he walked into.

Petey had two children, Nicholas Peter Soto (5) and Elissa Celia Soto (4).  Throughout his own challenges his children were always the priority.  We, as a family, will be handling all funeral expenses.  However, these children deserve so much more than what has been taken from them.  They are missing a parent who was supposed to help them with school clothes, school pictures, school trips, birthdays, graduation presents and college educations.   If you are wondering how to help us through this extremely difficult time please feel free to donate any amount you would like in order to help these children have the future their father is unable to provide them.   We are eternally grateful for any and all support, even kind words.

On January 11, 2017 Elianna Cruz lost her life as the victim of a terrible crime. Elianna fought for four days before succumbing to her injury.  Elianna and Petey shared many years together. Elianna was one woman that Petey always, never stopped, loving. I, Lissette, spent much time with my brother. I know how much my brother loved Elianna. I know how much he loved his children. This is absolutely devastating for our families. Through these difficult times we are supporting each other. We talk about our losses and our sadness. We lean on each other for support. We will make sure that the love and exuberant lives of my big brother Pete and Elianna will always be felt in the hearts of those they left behind.

Elianna also had Keilani. She is a bold, happy, wonderful 1 year old. She is beautiful and has wonderful big blue eyes. She is always protected by her older siblings. Nicholas and Elissa love their sister. They will tell you themselves. She has that spirit that her mother had.  We will ensure that's Keilani and her big brother and big sister will always be with one another, to always support and love each other. We definitely know the value of family.

Again, thank you all for your love, support, generosity and kindness.
