Pet oxygen masks K9 gear 4 respndrs

$50 of $3,500 goal

Raised by 1 person in 2 months
The month of May celebrates and recognizes Fire, EMS, Police and Military personnel who keep our communities and country safe. Unfortunately most agencies have very limited (or no) budgets for life-saving equipment like pet oxygen masks or protective gear for K-9s, so they rely on donations and donated products.

My name is Janet Liebsch and I am Executive VP of the U.S. First Responders Association  (an all volunteer NP based in Florida) and VP of Fedhealth , and the goal of this campaign is to help equip Fire/EMS and Law Enforcement depts with pet oxygen masks, Rex Specs (K9 goggles) and K-9 ballistic vests.

ALL funds raised here (and on USFRA.org if you prefer Paypal) will be used to purchase and donate masks and K9 gear for FL Gulf Coast responders (and hopefully others) ~ as will all proceeds from the May 26, 2018 Starlight Singers Memorial Day Weekend First Responder Benefit in Sarasota FL.

Plus ... ALL donations of $5 or more will receive a free copy of my disaster preparedness and basic first aid ebook (280-pg PDF) as a thank you for helping us equip first responders. (It includes safety data about hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, fires, CPR + much more.)

Each year many pets die of smoke asphyxiation due to house fires. Although firefighters try to get pets safely out of burning structures, often they are not able to revive them unless responders have pet oxygen masks. These specially-designed masks can be used on conscious pets that have suffered from smoke inhalation and animals that need to be resuscitated after exposure to toxic fumes. Mask sets include 3 sizes and can be used on many types of pets including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, ferrets, rabbits and more.

As mentioned above, police and sheriff K9s rely on donated gear since most agencies cannot accept money, so the goal is to raise funds to purchase and donate protective goggles and vests to them and help keep dogs as safe as their human partners.

We are asking animal lovers and supporters of first responders to please make any size donation – and please share this campaign with others to help equip as many Fire, EMS and K9 officials as possible.

Again, ALL funds will be used to purchase and donate masks and gear for first responders ~ as will all proceeds from May 26, 2018 Memorial Day Weekend First Responder Benefit in Sarasota, FL.
