SAVE PERFECTLY FRANKS

I am hoping that after I share with you some important and pressing needs we are facing at Perfectly Franks that maybe you’ll be willing to assist us with the dreams and visions we still have for PF’s! I hope you’ll continue reading!

Let me start, by introducing myself. My name is Blaine and I was blessed to start working at Perfectly Franks over 7 years ago. I LOVE this restaurant. Not just because it’s a fun and unique place, but I work for some awesome, generous, kind-hearted people who honestly just want to provide delicious food and amazing service to each and every customer who walks through the door. Sadly, it’s been very difficult to focus on just those things lately!

First and most importantly, the Cudas, myself, and countless others WANT and NEED to THANK YOU for your support over the last 9 years! Without you, your business, emails, texts, Facebook posts, etc. there is NO WAY we could have been as successful and had the longevity that we’ve sustained! WE could have never been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives without YOU because the network doesn’t even reach out to potential restaurants without ample and honest customer recommendations. BUT, we are pretty much at a rock bottom point here at Perfectly Franks… we MAY have to close the doors VERY SOON and that is something we DO NOT want to do AT ALL!

When it comes to the trials and tribulations we’ve faced with this restaurant, the building we currently lease has had a whirlwind of issues. We have been absolutely blessed to be on Main Street USA, in the beautiful town of Summerville, BUT, the building where we are located is VERY OLD and has MAJOR PROBLEMS that we deal with on a way too consistent basis! It seems like all the time, there is “something else” that pops up and costs us money! In fact, there has been a laundry list of issues that put us in such a financial crisis now (fearing we may have to close the doors for good!) The building has flooded (multiple times) due to foundation and structural problems and we’ve had to shut down operation, pay to have the space dried out and cleaned to DHEC specs that cost us thousands of dollars, plus thousands more in lost revenue from having to close temporarily. We have had consistent air conditioning issues that never seem to go away. The REALLY BIG PROBLEM- along with the flooding- is leaks in the ceiling that no one can ever seem to find the origin of! We are constantly footing the bill for things we cannot afford and we’ve NEVER had enough money to pay for these extra and unexpected expenses that fall in our lap.

In October of this last year we were hit with a MAJOR bump in the road as well: Hurricane Matthew! The storm not only worsened already existing damages we couldn’t afford to repair on our own but we had to close the doors for 4 days! That was detrimental, to say the least! We easily lost upwards of $12k in revenue that needed to be used to repair the equipment/pay existing bills. Especially since we are a small, family-owned business, we don’t have deep corporate pockets to dig into when disaster strikes. We thought insurance may help but that DID NOT pan out!

Despite all of these problems the Cudas constantly TRY to cover these expenses because they’re good and kind people who want to keep the doors open for YOU and COUNTLESS OTHERS. I can’t tell you how blessed I am to have been able to work for such caring and compassionate people for so many years. They constantly put others before themselves and are always taking others into consideration when most would only think about themselves. They try to stay open on holidays and extra Sundays when we are usually closed if there’s a special event. They look out for the welfare of their employees unlike any other business I’ve ever worked for. They are always concerned about each and every customer’s experience from the second you walk through the door to after you leave. They take on the burden of major issues, which they shouldn’t have to, at all! I seriously cannot tell you the last time Perry Cuda has taken a real, honest vacation… It definitely hasn’t been in the last 7 years I’ve worked for him! I’ve seen him in the restaurant working on countless Sundays (when we’re closed), countless holidays (he was there on Christmas!), and so many late nights cleaning and repairing things (that shouldn’t be his responsibility) but he does anyways! He is so dedicated to keeping the restaurant alive and running well, despite all the issues he faces day after day. There is a REASON employees like myself and countless others have stuck with the Cudas over the years and it’s because they’re truly amazing people with bigger more generous hearts than anyone could imagine.

Over the years, Perfectly Franks has seen our customers grow up. We’ve seen children from Rollings Middle who came in every Friday after school with their friends grow into high schoolers. We’ve Summerville High school students who come in for lunch when they have early-out grow into young adults and head off to college. We’ve seen those college students come home during Summer and Winter break and enjoy a meal with their families and friends. We’ve seen our customers get married and have watched their families grow and the cycle start all over again. What I’m trying to say is we have a personal relationship and love for all of you who have grown with us over the years. We APPRECIATE you SO MUCH. We want Perfectly Franks to have a legacy and history rooted with the families and friends and visitors who have made all of our successes possible to date. That has been our goal from the start.

So what I’m asking for from you, your friends, anyone willing to help is not only prayers to help us through this tough time but donations to help us SAVE and REVITALIZE this amazing restaurant. We want to provide a clean, fun atmosphere for EVERYONE to enjoy. Donations would cover firstly, the huge financial loss and back-payments we need to cover from damages (that were just exacerbated) and closures associated with Hurricane Matthew-- and FAST or we may lose the building we call home. Secondly, we also want to provide an experience for each an every customer who comes in to enjoy a meal with us- upgrades in the seating area are a must! We are also (strongly) considering staying open later & delivery!

We know times can be tough for anyone but WE KNOW EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS and we would be GRATEFUL for ANY HELP from you! Even a simple “share” makes a difference! Our goal is to raise at least $21,190 to MAKE PERFECTLY FRANKS THE BEST IT’S EVER BEEN! HOWEVER, its crunch time and we need to find a way to cover costs FAST so our goal date is a quickly-approaching FEBRUARY 5th!! **And if we accomplish this goal we’re going to lower our hot dog prices to say THANK YOU for helping us though this rough chapter of our PF’s story!

For any further questions or information about us and our campaign feel free to contact me (Blaine Jones) at the restaurant at [phone redacted]. I’d be happy to speak to you because, honestly, I’ll be grateful you even took the time to read this and maybe share with a friend!

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!!
