Penelopea's Medical Fund

Penelopea is a special needs porcupine living at our wildlife refuge. She has a congenital neurological disorder and her symptoms have been getting worse the last several days. She is dragging her back legs and acting erratically, which is very out of character for the typically docile girl. Adjusting her diet and medication has not helped, and we need to get a CT Scan or MRI to figure out our next step. The cost of diagnostic testing alone is 2-5K.
This is a critical time for Penelopea (and all the volunteers here who love her). Many of us are giving what we can, but we can only do so much without outside help. She is not yet old enough for us to have lost hope of recovery, but we need to know what we are facing.
