Peck Family Heartbreaking Tragedy

$7,190 of $20,000 goal

Created May 18, 2017

Please follow our updates on regular postings. These two beautiful children lost not one, but two parents unexpectedly this third week of May 2017 in Pocatello, ID. Lindsey (Mumme) Peck, loving mother to Auston and Melessa was taken from this life too early after a heartrending infection, shutting down her body. Shane, her husband passed away two days prior from similar complications. This account has been set up to help with the children's affairs and their transitional care expenses.  Both Lindsey and Shane loved their children deeply. We ask that you make sure to take the time to kiss your own children goodnight tonight and share whatever extra resources you may have to this page at this time. My name is Lacy Parker (Saxton) and I am the big sister to Lindsey. My significant other-husband, Mike Saxton, will be the beneficiary on this account. I too am from Pocatello, ID where I've had the opportunity to enjoy my sweet sister and watch our young children grown close. Lindsey and her family have been a part of all the special memories in my life and I intend to use these funds to assist in caring for her children.

With each new day brings experiences we must overcome. Today we received news that the Bannock County Commissioners, Indigent Services, has denied my father's application for assistance for funeral expenses and now the family is left to help him cover the costs associated with these fees.
Our family has been very frugal and financially aware while making final resting accomodations for Lindsey and Shane however we are now faced with yet another expense.
We are forever grateful for the assistance we have received from others and will always strive to 'pay it forward' by helping others. At this time we ask that you continue to share this GoFundMe page and make a contribution if you can, as the children will continue to have expenses however anything leftover we would like to be able to assist my father in funeral expenses as well.
We continue to look for positives to our situation each and every day and every contribution mean so much to us. We want to thank Harper's Homemade Bread company for donating a month of bread and 50lb box of potatoes to our family this morning. What an amazing company! Please continue to share this page and include a special memory you have of my little sister, Lindsey, and/or my brother-in-law, Shane, to help brighten our day.

We were able to honor Lindsey and Shane yesterday with a beautiful memorial service where we reflected on beautiful memories, moments and characteristics in which we will cherish forever.
Our family has been filled with love from family, friends and community members and will forever be indebted to your kindness and selfless acts.
As our family continues to grieve, especially their young children, we are so thankful to be surrounded with such love.
We ask that you continue to share our GoFundMe page that has been set up for this family to aid to transitional care and expenses for Lindsey and Shane's beautiful children. Whatever resources you are able to offer at this time will be welcomed and forever appreciated.

The Idaho State Journal has included a kind article about Lindsey and Shane's family, focusing on the support needed for my neice and nephew during this time. We thank them for such a gesture in which they respect and acknowledge the grief these two children and the families are experiencing at this time. People are amazing and beautiful individuals.
