Peak Pilgrimage Challenge Walk

Donation protected
This 39 mile 2 day pilgrimage in Derbyshire is our latest venture and this year is in support of the Emily Harris Foundation, a charity who work tirelessly to support the ongoing work of the Neonatal Unit at Kings Mill hospital.

About King’s Mill Neonatal Unit
The Neonatal unit at King’s Mill is an 18 cot unit, with 3 intensive care cots, 6 high dependency and 9 special care cots. The number of babies cared for varies depending on the staffing levels and the dependency of the babies.

The unit cares for babies from 23-24 weeks gestation to 40+ gestation for a variety of reasons, and in support of the midwifery staff and transitional care. Surgical babies are transferred to Nottingham units via their retrieval team.

The aim of the unit is to deliver family-centred care, giving support to all family members for the time their baby is nursed on the unit and for a time following discharge.

Our challenge this year is to help Clare and Neil Harris provide a better space for the families to use whilst at the hospital. We are raising money to help them refit the play room and make it more entertaining for older siblings to use whilst parents are busy and all funds raised this year will go to their ongoing good work.
