Comfort for the family of murdered 23-year-old

Donation protected

On the morning of April 20, 2019, my sweet little brother, Justin Elijah Primeaux, was murdered during a home invasion in his St. Martinville home. He was only 23 years old with a full life ahead of him and it was cut short by the barbaric acts of two suspects (that are still at large, please read and share the article to find the men responsible for my brother's death: https://katc.com/news/around-acadiana/st-martin-parish/2019/04/20/two-suspects-wanted-in-connection-with-st-martinville-shooting/)

Justin was an amazing person who would give his last to someone else in need. He absolutely glowed and lit up any room he walked into. He was a Momma's boy, a boyfriend, a brother, a son, an uncle, a godfather, and a friend to anyone who knew him. He was a well-known and respected person in his community and was adored by his godson, Travion, and his nephew, Charlie. He leaves behind his mother and step-father, Ruelene and Ronald Vidrine; his father, Gerard Primeaux; his sister, Leah Primeaux; his half-sister, Kayla Kountz, and nephew Charles Kountz III; his grandmothers, Wynette Hill and  Wilma Vidrine; his girlfriend, Brooke Cormier; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who he loved and adored and loved and adored him in return.

Justin was a fighter and a key figure in our family. He helped his grandmothers and took care of his elderly and disabled father. He provided for the children in his life and always showed up for his friends. Last year, when I was living in California and felt lonely for my family, Justin surprised me when I needed him most. Without telling me, he drove from Louisiana to California because he knew what I needed was family - I had no idea until he pulled into my driveway! That's just the kind of man my brother was.

We are asking for immediate donations so that we can start to cope with this new life we have been handed. The donated funds will be managed by our mother and myself and used to help our mom and step-father take time off of work to mourn the loss of their son. Additionally, it will help me to travel between New Orleans and Lafayette regularly so I can fill my brother's shoes in helping our family, friends, and community. It will also help to pay for the cost of his funeral arrangements and tying up all loose ends that may have been left behind.

We appreciate any and all donations and shares on this page. Thank you for your support during this tragic time.
