How Do You Get People to Speak Loudly?
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO BUILD A GLOBAL SCHOOLS NETWORK AND DELIVER THE EDUCATION YOUNG PEOPLE NEED TO REVERSE THE CURRENT GLOBAL CRISIS.
40% of our global population - 3 billion people - are under the age of 24; these children and young adults are growing up in a world with an increasingly fragile future. With just over 11 years before the target date of the UN’s ‘Global Goals' - 17 goals addressing the greatest challenges the world is facing - there is an urgent need for concerted action across the globe.
• But how many young people even know about the Global Goals?
• What action - if any – are they taking to address these challenges?
• And ultimately - what impact is being achieved?
IMAGINE FOR A MOMENT
...If all schools across the world were working together, as one - students in amongst communities, acting towards the Global Goals through curricular-based projects. This is what the Peace & Sustainability Programme can achieve.
The Peace & Sustainability Programme will benefit students, teachers and the world as a whole - but we need your support to get started.
For only £1 this Programme reaches One Class (33 students)
For just £5 this Programme reaches a Year Group (165 students)
For £25 this Programme reaches an Entire School (750 students)
Please help bring this programme to the world by donating even a small amount today
Every donor will be regarded as a 'Founding Funder' and kept up to date with key developments and impact among schools and their communities.
“All of us learn best by doing... and that is what Peace One Day is about, Action! It creates the understanding of the conditions essential for peace and empowers all to begin with one small step by accessing their resources for engaging in local and global peace activities. All Montessori Schools have a mandate for Peace Education and Environmental Sustainability. By participating in this programme, you and your students can experience the impact of peace. It begins with one day but can become everyday"
Judith Cunningham - Chief Strategy Officer, Montessori Schools Model UN
“We need this programme. Our pupils do not know or even think about these serious issues and our country has many problems that we need to address. [For example] plastic is a huge challenge in Thailand. We would love to be involved and hope you will work with us”
Tappong Wongviset, Managing Director - Lang Suan Thesaban Upatham School, Thailand
“I didn't even know about these (Global Goals) and I know many teachers that are probably in the same boat. But now you have explained it, the programme sounds incredible. Just imagine the values it would instill among pupils. Our school would love to participate...100% sign me up!!”
Derrick Ogunsola - Assistant Head, Grange Primary School, London
