Final Expenses For My Mother

(Note: I am posting this on behalf of my friend Lunden. All donations will go to him and his family.)

Hi, my name is Lunden. In late October, I took my mother Andrea to the ER when a knot showed up on her head and began causing her vision issues along with other problems. It turned out to be a tumor and we then found out that she had non-small cell lung cancer. It had spread to her head and she had to start getting immediate radiation treatments.

After 17 rounds of the radiation, the tumor on her head was gone and that was fantastic news. Unfortunately, the cancer was still in her lungs. She began taking chemotherapy treatments to fight the lung cancer, which sadly had harsh effects on her health. 

After three rounds of the chemotherapy, the doctor determined that, in her current condition, her body could no longer withstand any more treatments. Her health has been on a decline since that point.

As my Mom’s primary caretaker, I’ve been tasked with the every day responsibilities of caring for her as well as traveling back and forth between various doctors’ appointments and hospital stays. While I’m glad to take on these duties, the strict schedule has made it impossible for me to sustain employment. With neither my mom nor I working, the financial hardships of this situation have been very difficult on our family.

Rent expenses at our home are going up next month and there are a few urgent household issues that we’ve been putting off during this battle which absolutely need to be addressed.

It’s very difficult for me to ask for help, but with my Mom in the final stage of her cancer, I feel that I’ve been left with no other options.

Any donations would be greatly appreciated and put towards final expenses for my Mom as well as outstanding household costs.
