Hello, my name is Peter Crawford.  I'm a husband and a father of four adult children, four grandchildren, and four very-energetic Corgis.  I have a great passion for life and try to live each day to it's fullest, but life has thrown me a curve ball:

Recently I've been diagnosed with Myelofibrosis, a serious bone marrow disorder that disrupts the body's normal production of blood cells.  The result is extensive scarring in the body's bone marrow, leading to severe anemia, weakness, fatigue, and often, an enlarged spleen and liver.  The disorder is classified as an uncommon type of chronic leukemia — a cancer that affects the blood-forming tissues in the body.  

In order to treat this aggressive disorder, I will be admitted into Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida for chemotherapy and stem cell therapy.  Due to the weakened state that my immune system will be in due to the chemotherapy and stem cell treament, it will require an inpatient stay of three months - one of which will be in isolation!!!  

As you know, medical insurance will only go so far.  I'm already unable to work now and my medical bills are going to be very expensive.  In fact, they are already piling up and will be unaffordable.  If you can help, my family and I would be very appreciative.  Every dollar you can spare would go a long way!
