Paws 4 Lucas

HE DESERVES A SERVICE DOG! Lucas Thor is a 6 year old child with autism. He also has Evans Syndrome which is an extremely rare complication from the bone marrow transplant he had on 10/25/17. He used to have a rare blood disease that we cured last year, but we didn’t know that we traded one life threatening condition for another. Lucas’ immune system is destroying his own platelets, white, and red blood cells.

Lucas missed kindergarten, and now he’s already missed a month of first grade. He doesn’t have friends like a normal kid. We are in isolation once again, and all this boy wants is a service dog.

We RESCUED a gorgeous dog. She’s incredible, and she’s the perfect candidate for being trained as an autism service, and therapy dog. We need to make sure we get Rosy properly trained for Lucas.

He needs the perfect companion that will know when to calm him down, how to help him if he wakes up scared, and accompany him to his countless doctors visits, and hospital admissions. When he gets visits while he’s inpatient he just melts and it’s remarkable to witness.

We thank you very much for considering our cause! If you would like to donate in other ways, see below!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank each and everyone of you who is donated so far. Today we were able to officially adopt this beautiful girl! We rescued the sweetest dog, and we couldn’t of done it without all of your help! Now we will continue to raise money for her training, vet care, food, and any care she may need for her first year.

Lucas just loves Rosy. She is the best. So sweet, calm, kind, and well behaved. Thanks to you guys we were able to rescue her. Now we need your help with the cost of training her!! Our prayers have been answered! He didn’t have to wait 1-2 years for a dog to be created and trained for him. Rosy was waiting to be loved, and she is happy to be with us. Now we need her to be able to go anywhere with him, and learn a few things to help him!!

We may have actually found a perfect rescue as a candidate for a service dog for Lucas. This dog is only 20 minutes from us, has an amazing calm temperament and I met her today. Tomorrow I hope Lucas gets to meet her. We shall see how it goes. There’s no harm in trying. If it doesn’t work out she can go back. Lucas has a snack to give her tomorrow. I just hope it’s the right fit because Lucas deserves a dog, and we don’t want a bad experience for him. Nor do we need more stress at home. She’s beautiful, kind, smart, and calm.
