Pat has squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. She also has Urothelial Carcinoma which started in the renal pelvis and ureter. Due to the damage in the ureter from the removal of the first bout of cancer, there is permanent damage and she continues to have infections that turn sepsis every 6 to 8 weeks. Due to severe pain, she suffers from constant nausea and vomiting.
She is on permanent bed rest due to a severe case of dysautonomia.
Dysautonomia is an umbrella term used to describe several different medical conditions that cause a malfunction of the Autonomic Nervous System. She also has Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome.
Pat passes out between 8 to 15 times a day. Her blood pressure drops dramatically and her heart rate accelerates to compensate (which is extremely dangerous). To date, there is no cure that can help her. She is taking medication (Midodrine and Floranef) and has had many blood transfusions, due to a low hemoglobin, to help raise her blood pressure and is on a high sodium diet.
She will be going to the United States to seek alternative treatment due to extensive treatments (including chemotherapy treatments, which were unsuccessful in Canada). She will be there for 3 weeks to one month and is seeking funding for Medical Care, testing, transportation, lodging, and insurance (as her insurance is over $6,000 due to a pre-existing condition). Please help with her medical treatment, which has an excellent success rate.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
