Most of you know my dad and how selfless he has been to maintain the chruch open. He has done everything that he can to continue to serve in a very difficult part of the Kansas City, MO area. He believes in his heart that this is the place that God called him to serve. Everyone that knows my dad loves him not only because of his happy self but because he gives everything he has without expecting anything in return. What a lot of people dont know is all the sacrafices he has made to continue to keep the church doors open. He recieves no salary, medical insurance, or any other benefits at that. He doesnt complain about that he just continue to move forward, "living by faith" as he says. The church serves the hispanic community, the homeless, prostitutes, and drug addicts. The church is open to anyone that wants to join us. Somehow the church has been surviving and continued to serve the community. Wednesdays college students from Willam Jewel come and tutor or help the kids from the community with homework/school work. On that same day there is prayer group. The church has a clothing and food pantry open on Thursdays. Thursdays we feed the community at no charge to them with only the help from volunteers. My dad continues to work hard because he believes there is a lot of need here and the Historic Northeast shouldnt be forgotten. As selfless as he is he is the one now needing some help from the community. His health took a turn for the worst on Friday April 21, 2017. 

As most of you know my dad has diabetes and recently everything became complicated. He got pneumonia which caused sepsis which in turn caused kidney failure. He started dialysis yesterday and he is on a ventilator in hopes that he can rest and his body can recuperate. My dad is very sick and doesn’t have any type of medical insurance. My mom doesn’t leave his side but she is the only working and with all of this is unable to work. He has been hospitalized since Friday April 21, 2017 and its still going to be here a long time. That being said, he is accumulating a huge bill that even though my mom is doing payment plans there is no way she will ever be able to pay. My dad has never been one to ask for help at the contrary he is the one always helping everyone and anyone in any way he can. Please donate what you can and if you can’t please pray and share. We ask that you please respect our family’s privacy he is not accepting visitors because he is in the ICU and my mom is always with him and can’t take calls. Como la mayoría de ustedes saben que mi papá tiene diabetes y recientemente todo se complicó. Recibió neumonía que causó sepsis, que a su vez causó insuficiencia renal. Él comenzó la diálisis ayer y él está en un respirador artificial en esperanzas que él pueda descansar y su cuerpo pueda recuperarse. Mi papá está muy enfermo y no tiene ningún tipo de seguro médico. Mi mamá no se separa de su lado, y ella es la única que trabaja y con todo esto ella ha dejado de ir a trabajar. Mi papá está hospitalizado desde el viernes 21 de abril 2017 y todavía va a estar aquí mucho tiempo. Dicho esto, él está acumulando una gran deuda médica que a pesar de que mi madre está haciendo planes de pago no hay manera que ella nunca podrá pagar esa cantidad. Mi papá nunca ha pedido ayuda para él, por el contrario, él es el que siempre está ayudando a todos y a cualquier persona de cualquier manera que pueda. Por favor done lo que pueda y si no puede ore y comparta. Le pedimos que respete por favor la privacidad de nuestra familia que él no está aceptando a visitantes porque él está en cuidados intensivos y mi mamá está siempre con él y no puede tomar llamadas.
