PLEASE HELP HEAL & SAVE MY SMILE
Hello everyone, thank you in advance for taking the time to read my story. This is so hard for me to do because I never ask anyone for help. I am used to just trying really hard to do just about anything on my own, and helping others to the best of my ability. Ever since I was a child Its always been a upward battle with my teeth but I have learned to be grateful that I have any at all. Regardless of them being uneven, covering one another, and a serious over bite. My family could not afford most basic care for them. I cant either. So I learned to love them for what they were. For the last month I have been going to the dentist which is being paid for by myself as my insurance does not offer adults dental care.
I originally went to the dentist for itchy gums, come to find out I had a infection in my top front left tooth and it needed a root canal. I've had the procedure started April 6th 2017. The root has now been packed this past Tuesday and it has been nothing but painful with swollen lips. Really my teeth should be pulled but I cant bring myself to do that. If it was back teeth I could handle it because they would be unseen. But this is my front teeth. Where everyone will see. Yeah very depressing right? Cause its really starting to stress me out. Its far more expensive to get 9 crowns, 4 more root canals, and 16 fillings than it is to pull them and get a set of dentures.
Almost all my teeth in my mouth have been filled once if not twice. When I was in high school my back molar shattered on a Ritz cracker that had something hard in it. That tooth has been filled with silver filling at that time. Some of my roots are connected and when one is pulled sometimes the neighbors have to be pulled as well. I had my wisdom teeth surgically removed because they were pushing on my back molars under the gums. No matter what I do they are still falling apart. Breaking, rotting, getting infected and theres nothing else I can do but cry at this point.
