Furloughed Park Ranger with Young Family

Donation protected
My husband is a Park Ranger in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. He has been a public servant for over 10 years. As of today, he has been furloughed for 32 days. We have entered the 2nd month of this shutdown. We have two beautiful girls, ages 5 months and 4 years. We have a mortgage, student loans, car payments, insurances, groceries, diapers, formula,  medications, ect. that we budget for every month, like most families in this country. But we can only budget when money is coming in, and it looks like we are going  to miss his 2nd paycheck for the month, which normally would be coming this Friday. We are holding our breath, hoping for the best, but bracing for the worst. The families this shutdown has impacted don't deserve this. We have no say in this, no choice, but to sit idly by and hope it ends sooner than later. My husband just wants to go back to work to provide for our family, to serve the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and the visitors and wildlife within it he works so tirelessly to protect. Even a few positive thoughts sent our way would be very appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit of our story, and from our little family to yours, we wish you all a healthy, happy, fulfilling new year. ♡

UPDATE: We have also created a gofundme just for the many coworkers that are struggling through this difficult time. Any further donations received on this campaign will go towards gift cards for fellow employees.
