Papa's 2017 Great American Eclipse

Papa (Prof. David G. Iadevaia, retired professor of Physics and Astronomy) has been planning this particular Great American Eclipse Trip for 26 years...since the last Great Eclipse in 1991. Due to circumstances beyond his control his children were unable to travel to LaPaz, Mexico with him for that total solar eclipse...vowing to himself that he would one day be with his children to experience a total solar eclipse. The Great Solar Eclipse of 2017 is that eclipse and as an added bonus not only will his children and their spouses be with him but his grandchildren will be there as well.
The grandchildren will be giving "live" reports, from a child's point of view, during the eclipse over the internet hopefully to be received by their schools in Tucson and any other interested children around the world who have internet access.
He will be giving a free public lecture at the basecamp the day before for an estimated 200 people explaining what eclipses are and what to expect during the eclipse. The Expedition basecamp will be at the KOA Campground in Douglas, Wyoming.
Professor Iadevaia will be displaying the partial phases of the eclipse to the public using the solar telescope optical assembly described in the video as well as conducting several experiments using a solar radio telescope to monitor solar radio emissions during the eclipse as part of a NASA project.
