Pancho Billa is so much more than a guy in a sombrero at the Bills game.  He is the President of the DFW Chapter of the Buffalo Bills Backers.  He is an ultimate Bills fan in Pro Football's Ultimate Fan Association (PFUFA).  He supports campaigns like Fans Against Child Abuse, Fans Against Violence, NFL and MLB Go Gold for Kids Cancer.

More importantly, he is a great friend;  a brother; a father of two beautiful children and a loving boyfriend.  His smile and passion is infectious and he is one of the best people to have around.

As many of you have recently learned, our dear friend and Bills family member Pancho Billa has been diagnosed with cancer.  This week he will undergo an aggressive surgery to remove a mass pressing on his spine to help bring normal function back to his arm.  He is still undergoing several assessments to determine the origin and extent of the cancer.  Treatment going forward will be dictated by the outcome of those assessments.

Cancer sucks.  In addition to being knocked down from the surgery, other treatments and the cancer itself, one must endure the struggles of maintaining what was once your normal day-to-day routine, being tired, achey and sick;  you have to manage the numerous doctors appointments, insurance issues, unexpected expenses and support a family.

Let's come together and show Pancho how much he means to the Buffalo Bills family.   #PanchoPower #PrayersforPancho

Proceeds from this Go Fund me will go directly to Pancho and his family.

It’s been about a month since Ezra started his clinical trial. This is a big week as he gets the feedback as to whether the trial is working or not. We appreciate all the thoughts and prayers being sent in all mediums to Ezra and the family.

Because nothing is ever as planned in the world of cancer, a scheduled day trip to Houston resulted in an admission to the hospital. Ezra is experiencing some shortness of breath and they want to work up the cause. He will be here for a long weekend and we are hoping for positive news on Monday.

It’s been awhile since I posted an update. Thank you to everyone who has so selflessly donated to this campaign. I wish I was coming to you all with better news. Ezra was in the preliminary stages of entering a clinical trial in Houston, TX at MD Anderson this week when he received news no one would want to receive (again!). His thyroid is not functioning normally and therefore he is no longer a candidate for the trial. He has not been participating in any active treatment (stopped all chemo) to prepare for this as the previous chemo was not as effective as they hoped it would be. He also received news that in addition to the masses he knew about more have developed suggesting a need for radiation again.

I believe the doctors at MD Anderson have now identified another clinical trial for Ezra to participate in and he will be back to Houston at the end of the week but this is obviously not the position he was hoping to be in. He has also been experiencing significant pain and discomfort likely a result of the growth of the cancer.

Please continue to keep Ezra, Ronnie, Gino, and Loulou, in your thoughts as I know they appreciate all of the support from the Buffalo community during this hard time.

Here is a picture I took today almost immediately after Ezra received the news about the change in plan. Despite everything going on...he’s still smiling and he’s still representing OUR Buffalo Bills.

Thank you to each and every one of you who has donated your time and money to help support OUR Pancho Billa and his family during this extremely hard time. I started this campaign/fundraiser for Ezra and his family thinking I had some idea of what he was going through (I am a Breast Cancer Survivor and work in healthcare). To be honest, it's probably naive to think anyone who hasn't received a stage 4 cancer diagnosis can even imagine what it's like to hear those words, myself included.

I have never been more proud to be part of the "Bills Mafia" than seeing all of you, the organization, the city of Buffalo, and the players come together to support one of our own. There are a lot of different ways for dealing with a cancer diagnosis, I wish everyone could have the courage to live life to the fullest each and every day, like Ezra! #PANCHOPOWER

As many of you saw, Pancho Billa got his pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. What you may not know is that he has undergone 10 rounds of radiation and 6 rounds of chemo so far. This includes the round he received the day before supporting the Buffalo Bills at the draft. Thank you to everyone who helped us get the word out for #PanchosPick! He can use all the support as he continues to hold his head high while fighting this terrible cancer!
