Palpa School Building Project-Peru

This project is to raise the final funds needed to finish a school building project in Palpa, Peru. Most of the project has been paid by donations of money, time and materials over the past 10 plus years. We need to raise the last of the money NOW - why the urgency?

Luz Ruiz-Tenorio, daughter of Wifrida Tenorio-Bendezu who retired after 30 years as a School Teacher in Peru, has been working to fulfill her mother's dream of building a private-parochial school in her home town of Palpa, Peru. Luz or "Lucy" who has been working in the offices of the School of Architecture, Andrews University in Michigan has been working diligently on this project for over 10 years and has included Architecture students from the  since the very beginning. Lucy was recently (10/16) diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer that is rapidly spreading throughout her body, she's been under Hospice care for about a month now and the doctor told us today (12/6/16) that she probably won't live past Christmas.

Our goal is to raise the final funds to complete this project in time to tell Lucy that the dream of her mom, and herself, as she took up the challenge to continue the project following her mom's death just over three years ago, has been realized and that the construction of the school will be finalized with the funds raised in this fundraiser.
