Bob Would Go

Donation protected
From Bob's friend Estelle:

Friends, on behalf of Sharon its with a very heart that I share this news. After his long fight with cancer, our beloved Bob Purdy passed away early in the morning on January 29th. Much as our hearts are breaking, Bob wouldn't want us to be sad. He'd want us to go, because we can, to keep paddling, and to carry on with his legacy of bringing people together to change the way we live on the planet.

Please come out on Saturday Feb 3rd to paddle out and give Bob a proper waterman's sendoff and rally to support Sharon. We'll talk story, and together we'll form a circle on the water. Rain, snow, wind, or shine, because Bob paddled in anything. There will be groups paddling in these locations:

11 am in Deep Cove, For those who wish, a leisurely group paddle to Cates Park and back will follow.

11 am at Rotary Park in Kelowna

11 am at Willows Beach in Victoria
Brian from South Island SUP will have a few extra boards and paddles. A second circle will happen on land at the same time for those who can't paddle.

11 am at MacKenzie Beach in Tofino

Pink tutus are encouraged.

If you can't make it to any of these, paddle in your home waters, and take a moment to think of Bob and Sharon wherever you are.
