Hi! This is a general donation link for strictly medical expenses. Just a basic background: I'm 19 and I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome/Dysautonomia, Interstitial Cystitis, and undiagnosed GI and neurological problems due to not being able to afford to see these doctors. I also can't afford any specialists and therefore can't do much to treat my EDS. I come from a low income situation, and I had to leave college as a sophomore due to severe medical complications. Currently I'm too disabled to work or attend school but I'm hopeful that with access to proper care I could return to a semi normal life. I want to be a vet or otherwise work in a field that combines animals and medicine. Though I'm hesitant, a few people have told me to try this out. I will NEVER ask for donations, only passively leave this up should someone want to help a small amount. Thank you!

Positive Update!

Hi everyone. I'm really happy to say that I've got an option for a little income and I'm taking it. Since I will have a bit of money as a result, I can't justify letting people help me out anymore. I've had a really good opportunity offered to me for what's basically a part time job (but under conditions I can handle safely, I believe) and I can't possibly turn it down. I'm extremely appreciative towards those who donated, thank you all again so so much. I don't understand how GoFundMe works very well so if you didn't receive a private response I'm so sorry, I'm really confused xD

USE OF FUNDS:

In total, the money I got from this campaign will cover my next copay, and also a good portion of the copay after that (or something like a medication copay or gas money). It also allowed me to purchase an inexpensive scale so that I can track my weight and diet for my nutritionist, which is one of my most pressing matters currently. A small portion covered a little bottle of anesthetic spray I have needed for a long while, because the constant burning itch under my port dressing (for the first few hours after being changed) has been causing me to claw at it and I needed to mute that so I didn't either hurt myself or tear the dressing and break sterile field, haha. The spray was under $5 and the scale was around $11. I wanted to spend as little as possible on things I wasn't in dire need of, but these things are a huge help to my doctor and home nurse, and to myself, so they were definitely worth it.

REFUNDS:

If because I now have an income anyone wants a refund I'm glad to provide it. Just shoot me an email at Tayler.stukey@gmail.com (:

Hi all. I figured it might be nice to show a bit of transparency and explain how the money breaks down (:

•A copay for my primary care is $40
•A copay for a specialist is $50
•A copay for a procedure is $150
•My monthly medications range $10-$50 depending on trial medications we have to pay for that month
•Transportation costs range about $20 in gas, to $60 to get to and from the doctor's by Uber. We try really hard to not need to do this but it may be necessary in the future.
•Further miscellaneous expenses are generally purchasing braces, supplies/storage for supplies, compression socks, tens unit maintenance, etc. and whatever food I'm capable of keeping down, but I consider this closer to a luxury so no campaign money would ever go towards it.

Thanks for stopping by!
