Rocky has been held in a local Animal Shelter where he was adopted from for 2.5 years.
I have been fighting for his life all that time.
He bit someone who has had many issues with many neighbors pets and recieved a minor wound.
Because this person knows someone in our local government a Kill order was issued for Rocky. He had no incidents before nor has he had any issues since he has been held all this 2.5 year time. He is also the first dog in 15 years to be issued the kill order.
Many people don't understand that your pet has no rights. I didn't know that myself until now. I live in Portland, CT and the residents of Portland have really stepped forward to save Rocky's life. Those who have met Rocky can't understand why this kill order was issued based on his demeanor and disposition. Rocky has been reviewed by 3 different animal behaviorists and all have come to the same conclusion that he is not an aggressive dog. Despite the evidence, the support of the people, and the measures I would put in place, a fence, always leashed off property, a muzzle if required anything they would feel would necessary to come to a mutual equitable solution the town government refuses to mediate. They do not respond to the numerous people attending public meetings fighting for his life.
