Help After Nick's Death
Donation protected
My partner of 14 years Nick died suddenly this week, and as well as leaving me without the person I was going to spend all my life with I've also been left in a terrible financial limbo.
Nick was disabled and I was his full-time carer, and on top of that I suffer from mental problems that leave me unable to work as well. I'm now left facing such things as losing most of the benefits that we needed to survive day-to-day as they were all in his name and will have to be restarted and reduced for me, potential massive funeral costs and the probability that I will have to move out of our home. So I'm swallowing what's left of my pride and asking for help.
Any money I get would be used for basic things - rent, bills, food, transport and so on. If I have to move I may have to pay a deposit and rent in advance, but of course I don't know anything for sure right now as everything is up in the air.
I'm terrified right now, but trying to keep going. Any help that anyone could give me would mean the world to me, and I would be grateful to you from the bottom of my heart for the rest of my life.
Thank you.
