Please could you spare a thought for our mum Diane and grant her some wishes.
As a family we would love to give mum the garden of her dreams, finish the house and generallly show that we support her in so many ways.
Mum has been our families rock, she has held us together, through all the hard emotional times in the last 2 years. All we want is to lessen the burden of anxiety and stress she endures every day.
My siblings (Kayleigh & Neve), and I have seen our mum Diane care for others, take time out to help others, no questions asked, with no regard for herself.
This is our mums story.....
On the 10th of November 2016 our mum receives a phone call from our papa, her disabled sister has been found dead in her home. A home shared by Sharon's daughter and other sister Lynette. A home where my Aunt was brutually murdered by the very people who were meant to care for her.
Shock and devastation ran through what was left of our family, our mum Diane held us together, my sisters, myself and our papa.
After the initial shock, the investigations, the trial finally begins 18 months later, this was the turning point for our mum, her world was crashing down around her and there was nothing we could do to stop it. One conviction 23 years and a Not Proven.
Our mum carries the burden of an intense feeling of guilt, an emotion we know that she shouldn't feel, on numerous occassions mum offered a helping hand but she was always turned away.
Now our mum deserves to feel special and so much more....
All we ask from the bottom of our hearts is to not judge this book by its cover, have a look inside. My mum has a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone else, even if she couldn't.
Can you help her gain back fraction of her self worth and help her believe again.
Loving our mum is all we have to offer, she deserves to feel free of guilt and to live a normal life again. We hope to see the woman our mum used to be one day soon.
