In need of van

My name is Angela. On August 2,2009 I was diagnosed with NMO also known as devic's disease.  I woke up paralyzed and I was the first person with this disease doctors in Upstate Medical center in Syracuse NY who treated me. It all started in my optic nerve in my left eye where I would start to lose my vision.  I kept having flare ups only in my eye and would have IV steroids for 5-7 days to treat the inflammation.  My disease progressed rapidly in 7 months. My disease is similar to MS. They have similar symptoms and sometimes people are misdiagnosed.  NMO ( Devic's disease) is it's own disease. I have lesions from the base of my neck all the way down to my lower back. My body was attacking itself and in my way of explaining ate the myelin around my spine.  9 years later so far my disease has been stable with no flare ups.  I am a single mother of two teenage children.  I'm asking for this because I am in need of a van to accommodate me in my wheelchair to get me to my doctor appointments. I have had issues with transportation cancelling due to they could not accommodate me. It gets frustrating when I have to reschedule my neurology appointments when it is important for me to see them.  It would be easier with a van for me than I can have someone driven me to my appointments. This vehicle would also be helpful for me to be able to due things with my children . I have missed out on so much because I have to pay for transportation to take me places and that is very expensive.  I greatly appreciate your help.
