The 2014/2015 Kitten Season in Adelaide Australia was quite frankly horrific. An extended season, plus hundreds of undesexed cats, resulted in ALL of Adelaide’s rescues being completely full to capacity from October through to the end of February.
Paws & Claws Adoptions, are taking a positive stand.
Our Goal is to raise sufficient funds to desex 2000 animals (Cats & Dogs), for eligible low-income concession card holders and low income households.
By taking a pro-active stance, we can hopefully reduce the number of unwanted litters, and ease the burden on all of Adelaide’s rescues throughout the remainder of 2015, and into 2016.
As well as this we are hoping to raise enough to also provide these same eligible low-income concession card holders with free annual vaccinations, to reduce the spread of preventable diseases, and ensure the health and well-being of as many animals as possible.
We need your support to raise $600,000 by April 30th, so we can start this project on it’s way.
All Desexing will be subject to a Veterinary Health check to ensure desexing can be done safely. This Veterinary Health check will be covered in the funding.
Our preferred Vet will be the Animal Desexing Clinic, 604 Port Road, Allenby Gardens, but other Vets can be considered upon application.
