Owen's Trip to AZ to meet Chi Chi

Exciting News!! In 3 weeks on November 9, our new friend Owen is traveling to Arizona to meet Chi Chi. They are both survivors with a positive attitude towards life, so I’m sure they will be lifelong friends. Owen is an inspiring 10 year old boy who has overcome numerous challenges during his short life. When he was 2 years old, he survived burns covering 98% of his body. The doctors said he would never talk, walk or ride a bicycle, but today he is able to do all of these things. This year he had to have both of his legs amputated, and he is doing great walking on his new prosthetic legs. You can learn more about Owen and his journey on his Facebook page @Ifowencanwecan.
Owen’s mom Susan is an amazing woman. In addition to adopting Owen, she has adopted 2 other boys and is currently fostering 2 girls. Our family is excited to host Owen and Susan and are planning lots of fun activities for them during their visit. The trip to meet Chi Chi is a surprise for Owen, so if you know him, don’t mention this.

3. Contribute to help cover the costs of Owen and Susan’s visit to Arizona. If more money is raised than what is needed, the additional funds will be given to Susan to help with Owen’s ongoing needs.
During their visit, we will be having an event to celebrate Owen and Susan. At the event, we will give them the notes/messages you send and surprise Owen by telling him the items that you purchased from his wish list (if you purchase a gift from the wish list, it will be mailed to Owen’s home).
