Veterans Need Our Help & I Need Your Help

More than 200,000 military personnel transitioned to civilian status last year. Millions more made that journey before them. About 200,000 or more will do so this year. All of them share a single common denominator—wearing the uniform in the service of our country. Almost all of them share a second common denominator—they leave the military and look for civilian employment.

This book will help them: Out Of Uniform: Your Guide to a Successful Military-to-Civilian Career Transition

I want to give them copies of the book.  Please help me help them. How?

Two ways.

1. Make a personal donation.
2. Share this initiative with your friends, family, contacts, and everyone else in your network.

Why?  In the words of Mike Krzyzewski, Head Coach, Duke University Men's Basketball, U. S. Army veteran:

“We owe our military service members so much, including the right to compete for a job when they leave the service. Out of Uniform just might give them that competitive edge.  Are you a veteran?  Read it!  Know a veteran? Make sure he or she has a copy!"

92% of your donation will be applied to this initiative. Although I take nothing for myself, GoFundMe takes 8%.  Your donation will be directed to one or more Veteran Service Organizations who will in turn purchase and distribute the books. I am also donating my royalties.

My publisher (University of Nebraska / Potomac Books) will cover the shipping costs.

Hank was the OPSO, back when I was a chaplain with an artillery battalion. His recommendation counts. Brilliant and pragmatic. I myself I transition in two years, so I am interested... but not just for me, but those whom I am a chaplain for amid my twilight tour.

Tom was really helpful in my transition from the Navy to a successful career in the private sector.

Tom's knowledge and extensive experience are apparent in his writing, and should inspire the highest level of confidence and trust for those seeking a guide to the "military-to-civilian" transition process. His demonstrable work product is truly a testament to his passion for veteran issues at a critical time when our Brothers and Sisters in uniform need our unconditional support. Tom presents his valuable insights in a clear and concise manner that is easy to understand and enjoyable to read. I have no doubt this will leave the reader both inspired and enthusiastic about their prospects for successfully transitioning into any civilian career they may happen to pursue.
