Our buddy Woody needs surgery

Donation protected

This is Woody Hayes Berry.  Some might also know him as Woods, Woodrow, Wooders, Woody Woodrow, Bud, Sir Woodrow, Buddy, Ol' Woods, Woodrow Wilson, Chunkmaster, Woodmeister, Woodadamus, DoDo, Best Friend, P.I.C., Thunderbuddy, NephDog or Woods McGoods.

Almost 6 years ago, Woody blundered into our front door when he was 6 months old.  Wooders was a rescue pup leashed on a 2 foot chain.  It is "assumed" that Woods is a Huskie/Pitbull mix as those were the other two adult dogs chained up at the same home...but we believe he has atleast a 1/4 Angel in him.

Woody, not only keeps a close eye on his mom and dad, but also on his 94 year old grandmother (who informs us about daily that "Woody's eyes are just heavenly") and his two feline friends (Spazz & Teddy).

A few months ago, we noticed that he was having difficulty going to the bathroom. Since Woodrow loves to devour sticks we assumed that is what he was passing. The difficulty continued and we took him to the vet where he was given a clean bill of health as all the blood work/physical tests were fine, & he was still his same goofy self; we were instructed to give him some fiber tablets/supliments and possibly change his food. We did all of the above and it seemed to improve.

However, about two weeks ago the symptoms returned.  This round, the veterinarian advised that a less intrusive/less expensive procedure by knocking him out and seeing what they could find. What was discovered is a rectal polyp. They advised that there are only two veterinarian clinics (within 100 miles of our house) have the ability to extract the polyp. Apparently there is no preventative care for these as polyps depend on the bread or hereditary.

Today, (October 4th) we visited the internal medicine veterinarian specialist and Ol' Woodrow has a polyp a little over 2cm on his rectal wall. The doc informed us that after the polyp is extracted (removing the polyp & a portion of the rectal wall) it will be biopsied to determine if it is cancerous or not.  If it is, they will inspect our buddy's entire digestive system. The longer it remains the higher possibility that it turns to cancer.

We HOPE that we can get this done in the next 45days.  The estimate totaled $3,496.02. This does not include any potential expenses if the biopsy came back positive. This past year has been extremely difficult and our shoe-string budget...we don't have any extra money.

Please help us by donating something for Mr. Woodrow's surgery. Even if it is a few bucks or a dollar, anything will help.

Thank you in advance.

Mr. Woodrow helps us work.
