Our Troops Services & Consignment was positioned on the corner of Admiral & Garnett, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Marcus Morgan, Sam Pickle, started Our Troops Consignment & More in August of 2017, with the intent of employing local disadvantaged Veterans through this business. They quickly learned that it doesnt take many people to sell Furniture, so a Partnership was formed with Cody Nichols to make Our Troops Services in January of 2018. Through this enterprise they would be able to employ many veterans Mowing lawns, Building Fences, Decks, and doing Small Cleanup Jobs. The area our store was in wasnt the best part of town, but it was cheap. This cost us all of our investment money we have come up with, on May 20th, 2018 our Lawn equipment was stolen from our yard which was fenced and had barbed wire. It wiped us out. We relied almost entirely on the Service business for Revenue and we were quickly wiped out.
We were forced to stop building fences, and really struggled to keep up with lawns with only older push mowers, however through community involvement and a HUGE THANK YOU to Soldiers Wish & Bloss Equipment after 1 month we received a donation of AMAZING equipment and we are now back on track with our Lawn Service. We have had to let almost every go to find work elsewhere through these rough times, and have had to stop Our Troops Fencing, and other side work as a result unfortunately. We were able to move out of our shopping center and keep about half of our inventory. However we do not have the Capitol to find a safe place to go. We are looking for assistance from You the Community, to get us back up and on our feet this year instead of 3 years from now. We are currently operating out of one of our Homes, which just is not practical for a growing Services company. We truly believe in what we are doing, we have no intentions of giving up any time soon, and any help the Community as a whole could give us to get us up and operating at full speed again would truly be another life-changing blessing.
