Our Mother's Memorial Headstone

Donation protected

As most of our friends and families know, our sweet mother, friend, wife, and grandmother Yvvonne Chamberlain passed away suddenly on March 27, 2017.  She died of a heart attack in Las Vegas, Nevada on a Monday morning and was laid to rest a week later in Cedar Fort, Utah.

Although our little family had so many struggles over the years, she was able to keep pressing forward and tried her best. She brought joy to others with her acts of service and charity, always giving to those in need when she herself did not have much. She played the guitar at special occassions, the piano at church services, and sang with a voice of an angel. She raised our family through times of adversity, taking care of our brother David with severe down syndrome and other special needs with love and tenderness, always coming to our preformances, and signing us up for classes that we were interested in. She always had her arms open to everyone around her, even though she struggled with her own inner demons. Our mother wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of before her, and found happiness in seeing others smile.

We thank everyone who had pitched in at the last minute to cover some of the funeral and service costs. We could not have pulled it off without you, and what a beautiful service it had turned out to be! There was not a single dry eye in the room, and everyone there surely felt the spirit of our beloved mother there. However, we need help one last time to lay the memory of our mother to rest and have complete closure. We need a headstone for her.

The life insurance for our mother paid for most of the funeral expenses, and the rest was used to take care the needs of our Dad and our brother with Down syndrome who are still living in Las Vegas, Nevada. Her surviving daughters Anna Judd (oldest child) and Mary Ann Chamberlain (youngest child) are left to find a way to cover for an inexpensive, yet long lasting headstone for our mother.  Our father is not on retirement, nor has a full-time job and cannot help us at this time.

We, the daughters, have decided to go with a company in St. George, Utah who has offered us a flat laying, grey granite headstone with minimum writing, a small design on it to make it look nice, transporting it, laying it down and sealing it at Yvonne's burial site for $700 through a sister company in Cedar Fort Utah.

We are planning to keep this fundraiser open for three months, so there is no rush. From June this month to the end of September this year. We know that neighbors, friends and family has already donated so much to our mother's funeral arrangements. So we, the daughters, are willing to pay for what cannot be met in this fundraiser.

Anna (the eldest daughter) will be in charge of the final expenses since she lives in St. George and has consulted the stone mason about the headstone.

Any contribution of any kind will be very helpful. Thank you so much for reading this, and have a bless day.
