Our Beloved Jhonathan

$7,365 of $10,000 goal

Raised by 169 people in 13 months
This is Jonathan Loja, he was the youngest of 3 kids from his parents. He was a loving, humble, friendly, active boy. He was four years old. Jonathan was going to start kindergarten this coming fall. He was already such a ready learner. Always excited to go to school. He loved playing with his toy cars, playing soccer with his dad and uncles. But what this beautiful boy loved was smiling. He had the biggest smile that it was so contagious that if you were sad he would come up and smile to you. Jonathan loved riding his bike. Walking in the park with mom and dad. Jonathan loved his teenage mutant ninja turtle boots, that he would always be wearing them. But unexpectedly he was taken away from us on April 16, 2017  in the evening at 4:45 pm Jonathan passed away from his injuries. All I ask for is to help these parents with your thoughts and prayers, as well as whatever you could give. No parent should ever have to bury there child, especially at the age of 4. Jonathan is now resting in peace with the lord Jonathan now lays with God. You no longer have to suffer, the lord took the pain and the grieving away. Now you shall look upon your mother and father as well as your other siblings. We miss you and love you . We will carry you in our hearts.
"Nuestro hijo querido, yo sé que no me dejaste, pero ahora tú me vas a cuidar" - mom of Jonathan

Please help us with any kind of donations you can offer everything will help out. Jonathan will also be bought to his parents home country of Ecuador where he will be able to rest peacefully in the lords hands. Please with anything will help this family out.
Thank you

I honestly couldn't ask more for a better greater community than than one we live in and for the people who are just so caring and thoughtful. Especially for the people who we don't even know are just so caring and Jonathan's parents are so overwhelmed knowing the love you amazing people have give them. And with that being said they are getting stronger little by little knowing that all you amazing people are by our said and keeping them in your prayers. I couldn't ask for more than what we have raised so far and it more than words can explain . Thank you so much and que dios te bendigan.

Terrible tragedy. Truly hope this family finds some measure of peace. For those that think 100k is a lot to ask...That is totally heartless, small minded ignorance and an insult to humanity. We are talking about a child's life here. It is offensive to me that anyone would pass judgment in this situation based on that metric. May the lord have mercy on you! God forbid anyone has to face the situation of burying a child, then being left to pick up the pieces while you relocate your family to another country & work through the grieving process simultaneously. THINK!

So very sorry for your loss, life is not fair. What I don't understand is your goal to raise 100,000 dollars. Honestly your goal amount is why I declined to donate. Best of luck with everything.

Why are so many people concerned with the amount their asking? No need to comment your concerns, or even question why their asking that much... Just simply exit off and DON'T donate! The family is going through enough, and no amount of money will replace a child's life. Also, keep in mind they want him buried in Ecuador which is costly to ship his body properly, a headstone, a casket etc.

Maybe they meant to say 10k? Either way, if you don't want to donate, whatever your reason may be, then don't donate. But to question it is disgusting.

I know the amount bothers some. It does not mean they will be able to raise that full amount, it just means that is the goal of course. Whatever they do get, this gentle family will be grateful for. If you knew them or this precious little one like his teachers did, the amount would in not get in your way. Jhonathan is another lost angel. The world is going to miss whatever his contribution would have been.

You do not need to apologize for anything! Please disregard the insensitive people who are questioning the amount of your goal or your English writing skills. You are doing something that will support Johnathon's family, and many of us who can, are happy to help. The people who are being unkind must have no idea that grief and trauma have far reaching emotional and financial effects. God bless you. Your community supports you!

Very sad to read these sickening, negative posts. Why even comment? Feel better doing so?? Hope you never have to deal with a tragedy. The goal is immaterial, helping is the point.

Just wanna say, the family is asking for 10k... the bitch who did this is on $100,000 bail. WTF reread the story people. 10k for the family for the funeral expanses which is already almost 7k and the rest to help the family move on and help distract the siblings. NO ONE should have to bury their child after something like THIS.

This was a horrible accident. Unfortunately it is one that could be even more common in our town due to small children from as young as 3 playing in and along the streets unsupervised. I know as a mother I couldn't live with myself if I even hurt a child. Just in the past two weeks I have a had a young girl 3-4 standing on the curb ready to jet in front of my car. Myself and another driver were in a stanstill for 5 mins waiting for someone to come grab her and another boy of 4/5 riding a bike again unsupervised through the streets who road right in front of my car. Now in this case the driver should have stopped that is where he/she is at fault. But as a mother of a five year old why was the boy in the street alone unsupervised so that no one saw the accident. I feel awful for the little boy. It's an awful horrible thing for a young life to be taken and to think he was all alone hurt my heart aches for him. There is only one thing worse then a child's sense less death and that is when people try to profit from it. The boy lived here 100,000 down in Ecuador is like 1 million up here.
