Orange County Public Library Flood
Donation protected
The Main Orange County Public Library in Hillsborough, NC, sustained significant flooding during the winter storm this past week. Most of the damage occurred in the Teen Room and the Children's section of the library. The Library lost books in Youth Services, play equipment in the Little Learning Lounge (the space for youngest customers), and furniture in the Teen Room, among other damages.
While staff continues to assess the damage, the Friends of Orange County Public Library will be collecting financial donations to offset any expenses not covered by insurance. We hope all Friends members will show their support of our wonderful library, and please share this fund-raising campaign.
