Casa Bernabé Orphanage Mission Trip

Please support Ocean Reef's first mission trip to Guatemala. We'll be serving at Casa Bernabe orphanage for 7 days (Oct 8-15), assisting with several projects there, from remodeling to helping in the nursery.
Short term mission trips are an excellent way for people of all ages to gain a global perspective and be initiated into God's kingdom as active participants. In fact, It has been the most amazing thing - watching God bring this team together; 4 separate ministries have emerged:
1) Renovations. The orphanage has requested this and we have a total of 9 men/handyman volunteers who will be dedicated to working on this for the week.
2) Medical. We have a doctor going with us who will be doing basic wellness visits with the kids and some of the poor surrounding communities that rely on the orphanage for help.
3) Soccer. The older boys are begging for soccer players and God provided 2 coaches! We will be doing a soccer clinic every evening from 5:30 to 7:00. The kids are so excited!
4) Massage. Two professional masseuses are going and we are planning to bless all of the employees with hand and foot massages!
Also, we will host a race day/ field day event with the whole orphanage (about 100 kids and 30 staff). One ORC member has offered to donate remote controlled cars for the older boys about 20. Very exciting!
Our last night there we will host a bonfire with smores and music and storytelling (mostly the antics of that beautiful outlaw - Jesus!)
Here is what we still need help with:
1) prayers for safe travels, energy for the missionaries, favor in all we do
2) soccer ministry. We need nets for the bare goals that they have, some portable goals, soccer balls and cones. Total: $225.00 FUNDED!
3) massage ministry: We need oils, sanitizer, lotions to use, small oils to take home. Total $150.00 FUNDED
4) medical ministry: We need tylenol, bandages, antibiotic ointment, gloves, bandages, cough medicine, pepto bismol, etc Total $1,125.00 FUNDED
5) race day field day: We need prizes and food for 130. Total $800.00 FUNDED!
6) bonfire: smores, etc Total: $200.00 FUNDED!
7) 4 washers for houses (yes! they are $700 each): Total $2,800.00
8) School supplies for school (preK thru 8) Total $500
9) New underwear, socks, etc (114 kids) Total $1,150
