Operation Big Wave Venditti

This is my friend Jacob Venditti. Over the years, a group of us formed a friendship that has become a brotherhood. We have all been surfing together at our home break of Wrightsville Beach for the past decade.  As our love for the ocean grew, it pushed us to chase bigger and better waves all over the world. Years passed and slowly my passion for surfing grew to filmmaking, documenting and making clips of our adventures. Mexico has become a staple destination for us because of its world class big wave beach breaks.
To surf these waves, you must be strong and you must be brave. Jacob Venditti is both. Not only because he charges, but because he deals with Cystic Fibrosis on a daily basis. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disorder that causes severe damage to the lungs, digestive system and other organs in the body. Now more than ever, Jacob’s CF makes it difficult to fight the power of the ocean. That’s why we need a jetski for Jacob this year in Mexico. It will enable him to have  the time of his life. When surfing big waves, it is common for surfers to use a Jetski to make it easier to get out into the line up and catch more waves.
Our goal is to raise $3000, which will pay for a jet ski for the entirety of our trip in Mexico, a full body flotation device, and a big wave surfboard. I have always talked with Venditti about creating a documentary that captures his story, a positive message inspiring others to never give up, and I am excited to make it happen. Anything over our goal will help contribute to the production of the documentary.
