During the month of April, Autism Awareness Month, OPEIU Local 2 at AFGE will be collecting donations for the "One World Center for Autism" to ensure that financial assistance reaches the autism community and will have an immediate impact on respite for caregivers, sponsor children for needed programming, autism programs and community services provided to families.
They are committed to operating a center of excellence that provides needed services to families living with an autism spectrum diagnosis. Each year they assist hundreds of kids in the Prince Georges’ County area, including my son, Ryan.
