Coming home is also a journey

This initiative is for Ralph and Kim Lewis - two friends and school mates of mine - we were in High School in Manila in the early '80s. Ralph and I share growing up in Indonesia. Kim (Ambrosius) was a classmate of mine. As a couple and family they have lived at the coal face of helping people in need in Cambodia for many years and recently made the decision to return to the US for the sake of their childrens education. During their years in Cambodia, they raised funds to invest in this developing country. While they also set aside some funds for their return to the US, upon their return they encountered what many of us have also experienced: home is expensive! Especially good schooling... having now resettled their kids in school, they are moving out of temporary accomodation faced with the challenge of furnishing their more permanent residence. I would ask you to help - if they were around the corner, then it would be practical to give them any unused furnishings; distance being what it is makes that less practical and therefore I would ask you to gift what you can. A new start for a couple and family who have given so much to others.
Ralph and Kim built and ran a medical clinic, helping people as they arrived: from malaria treatment to machete cuts, motorcycle accidents to snake bites. In addition, Ralph literally brought light to many Cambodians living where there is no electricity, increasing the quality of life of many.
