Welcome to Go-Fund-Me Campaign for the Isle of Man TT & MGP Races
My name is Savvas Kosmidis, I am a Motorcycle Road-Racer and I aspire to be the first ever Greek-American who will compete and finish the Isle of Man Tourist Trophie and the Manx Grand Prix Races.
The Internationa Isle of Man TT Race is a motrcycle sport event held annually on the Isle of Man in May or June of each year since the inaugural race in 1907. The Isle of Man TT for many years has been the most pregistigious motorcycle race in the world and also seen as the ultimate test for the competitors and machines alike.
It is well known as the "the most dangerous road race in teh world" for good reasons. The race is held on a 37-mile road course that weaves through the small towns, mountains and country of the Isle of Man. The roads in whcih bikes reach close to 200 miles per hour are mere feet away from trees, fences, stonewalls and utility poles. Immovable objects that can be very dangrous but are part of the unique character of the race.
This dream was created after a successful beginning in my racing career in the United States with the Championship Cup Series (CCS) and the American Sportbike Racing Association (ASRA). I have raced in several tracks on the East Coast accomplishing great results some of which include National Championships and Track Championships.
The 2016 Manx Grand Prix is vital step towards the TT goal and I am the only American-Greek Newcomer who was accapted in the event. I will proudly give my best efforts while representing both of my countires via media and even honor them after selecting my gear and motocycle paint jobs based on the colors of their flags.
I am following a very strict diet and traning program which will be critical to my performance on the Isle.
As a privateer racer the expenses to attend such a competitive event in a very unique location are extremely high.
The funds raised from this campaign will be used to cover the expenses associated with the Race which include: Race-Motorcycle Preparation & Service, Safety Equipment, Race Entries, Transportation Costs, Tires, and Fuel.
