Alanya Rigler  Yokine, WA
Ollie Rigler was playing for Fremantle city against Balga FC on the weekend of the 18th of march.

Ollie was in goal and he came out to intercept a through ball and as he has slid down on the left side of his thigh and collect the ball with his hands. As he went in, his knee has hit the floor first but did not slide. instead it had jammed into the floor and his body went the other way. This led the femur to sustain a clean break and the hip to dislocate.

Ollie was rushed to hospital and was operated on the the following day. He is currently attending physiotherapy sessions three times a week and is making great progress.

Ollie had just got himself into a mature age apprenticeship a week prior to the accident. The Donations that are raised will be used to cover any medical bills that are not coverd by the insurance and to keep up to date with outgoing bills, until he is able to get back into work.

The surgeon has given him a timeline of six months before he is back to full health, Three months until he can do minimal hours and light duties at work and eight to ten weeks before he is walking without help again.

It was a freak accident that could of happened to any of us and Ollie was unlucky enough to have been the guy it happened to. We have all been in the situation where we are unable to work through an injury from sport and the worry of financial woes is the hardest and most stressful thing to deal with during the time of the injury. I hope we can all come together as a footballing community and give Ollie a helping hand. Any donation is massively appreciated and is a huge help to making the situation as pleasant as possible for Ollie.

Thank you all.
