Old First Reformed Live Nativity

Old First Reformed United Church of Christ has provided a beautiful live nativity scene with two sheep, two goats and a donkey for many years.  It is a holiday tradition that runs all December, allowing Philadelphians to come visit the animals and even pet them!  We construct the barn on our church yard and the animals spend December with us, being loved and cared for by church members.  On Christmas Eve, we have a procession where we lead the animals through Old City, recreating the journey of Mary and Joseph to find the barn where we act out the Christmas story.  

This year, the price of renting the farm animals has gone up dramatically.  We need help to pay for the animals.  Please help this Old City tradition continue.  It is one of the only opportunities that some Philadelphia children have to pet farm animals.
