Ohio Dreamers 4 TX Disaster Relief

Tax deductible
I heard a story on the radio that I can't get out of my head.  The Islamic Society of Greater Houston is providing shelter to victims of Hurricane Harvey.  They're opening their doors to Americans of all backgrounds and faiths.  It got me thinking: what am I doing to help?

I have DACA, which is a temporary status for immigrants who came to the US as kids.  They call us Dreamers.  Now, our DACA is under threat.  The Texas attorney general wants President Trump to end it.  I want Texas leaders to know that I have DACA, I love this country, I'm willing to help, and I am #HereToStay.

If Trump ends DACA, I won't be able to work, drive my car legally, or support my family.  This simple document means everything to me.  I know there are other Dreamers like me who feel the same way, and many allies who support us.

That is why DreamActivist Ohio  and Ohio Student Association  are asking immigrants and allies to support the Islamic Society of Greater Houston's disaster relief. If we show Texas and US leaders that Americans and aspiring Americans like me are helping their state, maybe they will finally realize that we are stronger together, and stop trying to divide us.
