Hola! I am a resident of Puerto Rico who survived two hurricanes, Irma and Maria, the last category 5. Never in my life have I experienced this catastrophic situation; the island is shattered.
Many friends from around the world have asked me how they can help; after giving a lot of thought I have concluded that money is the best option. I don't feel comfortable asking for money, but I don't trust what is going around with the logistics of the transportation with the goods donated. I decided to take matter in my own hands and help those in need.
My scope is to focus on water purifiers, small solar panels, solar lights, inverters, mosquito nets, solar radios, headlamps, flashlights and other gadgets that help people and communities to be self sufficient for the long term.  
Many friends and families have lost everything. I think that with basic needs we can strive. So those who know me and want to help, please donate. If you want to help specific communities or families, let me know. I am based in San Juan and am interested in helping in the west coast of the island as well, specifically in the towns of Isabela and Aguadilla.
